Evi is 16 - she is in love with Pit. Bond is 17 - he is in love with Evi. There is to be an atomic reprocessing plant built where they live. First love in a threatened environment. Reindl
is a politician. He is one of those who have identified atomic power with progress. He has a cunning election strategy - and a dangerous opponent - Reindl falls into Evi's hands four days before the election. Pit and Bond intervene. Amateur kidnappers try to abduct an experienced politician. Their attempt miscarries. The kids give up on election Sunday. Reidl triumphs.
