Jones is called in when others want to take out a contract to kill. Jones is quick, clinical and good at his trade. The people who take out the contracts never quibble about the price he demands. Jones arrives in town on the early morning train. His assignment is to take out the boss of Warner-Trans. When he tries to kill him, the unexpected happens. The boss of Warner is on his guard. He has been tipped off. What has happened?
Has the go-between Alexander Scrooge double-crossed Jones? Is Franketti, the man who took out the contract behind this? Or is Abraham the big boss, who Franketti can not touch, pulling the strings? Up until now Jones has always been used to neat work. Now he finds himself trapped between two gangs. Jane, a beautiful young woman, decides his fate.
