Lobster (TV serial)

Story >>>

Plot of episode 1. " The one-armed man": Franz Borsig has spent ten years in prison. He pocketed a million following a robbery in which his arm was paralysed as a result of a gunshot wound. The money was never recovered. His former girlfriend Karin might have known something. Lobster takes Borsig back to his flat when the latter has been shot. Borsig tries to enroll the assistance of Lobster in the search for his money, until that is, he finds out that Lobster is an undercover agent.

Plot of episode 2. "Two flies": Bomb attempts are made on the life of building contractor Klein. His wife hires Lobster to protect her. Lobster manages to save Mrs Klein's life in a new murder attempt. It is clear that he is up against a hired killer. Then Klein pops up and shoots the perpetrator. Klein maintains that he acted in self-defence, and the police believe him. Doubts arise in the mind of Lobster as to whether this is what actually happened. Klein had shot a man who had already been overpowered by Lobster. When Lobster and Birgit are sent by Klein to a mountain refuge to protect them from the killers, Lobster harbours doubts. It leads to an argument between Lobster, Klein, and his wife Birgit.

Plot of episode 3. "Die!": The banker Ernst Brühl is an old friend of Lobster. When Brühl asks him to look after his son Klaus, who has been caught up in shady dealings, Lobster is unable to say "No". While in the Brühl home, Lobster makes the acquaintance of the remarkable members of the Brühl family; the elegant wife of the banker, Hedwig Brühl; the dominant mother Ottilie; the progressively subservient daughter Ute; and the inhibited daughter Tessa. Brühl announces to the surprised family that his bank has been forced to file for bankruptcy. On the following morning he is found shot dead. The police believe that he committed suicide. But Lobster can not believe that this is true, all the more so since there certainly was a motive for murder within the family, given the very high life assurance policy which had been taken out on him. Lobster suspects one member of the family after the other and at last he comes across the truth. The truth disturbs him.

Plot of episode 4. "Handcuffs": The murderer Wortmann wants to settle a score with Lobster. He breaks out of prison and takes the detective's daughter hostage in order to blackmail Lobster. Lobster is to crack a safe to provide the money to enable Wortmann to make good his escape. Together with his friend, inspector Korn Lobster hatches a plan to free his daughter and to catch Wortmann.

Plot of episode 5. "Blood": Susan, 16-years old, is the daughter of a fashion house owner. She tries to commit suicide by taking sleeping tablets, but Lobster is still able to save her. However, the blood on Susan's jumper still has to be explained. Susan suddenly disappears. Lobster comes across mysterious coincidences. These also explain Susan's behaviour.

Plot of episode 6. "The child": Lobster has been briefed by Dr. Martius to locate a man by the name of Guiseppe Scaffi, who is needed as a witness in a divorce case. Lobster gains the trust of Scaffi's son Nicky and is able to dupe him into revealing his father's hideaway. Scaffi is murdered on the following morning. Lobster feels that he is piatially to blame and Nicki even believes that Lobster is the murderer. Nicky swears to revenge the death of his father and to kill Lobster. Lobster searches for the murderer with a feverish intensity and Nicky plans Lobster's murder with determination.
