Rules of the road

In this film, the renowned Munich-based documentary filmmaker Oliver Herbrich describes the lives of the Irish Travellers, the tinkers, the Irish gypsies. They have their own language and culture. They are the last nomads of the industrial age, but the destruction of their identity appears inevitable.

Squeezed out on to the junkyards of the society of the sedentary, their journey is finally coming to an end. An Irish road movie, a sad ballad.
